by Panini Comics
First appearing in 1979 as Doctor Who Weekly for the fledgling british comics company, Marvel UK the Doctor has seen continuous publication since then.In fact a Doctor Who comic strip has remained in continuous publication now since 1964. With the rights having remained with Marvel UK (Now Panini Comics) since it's launch in 1979. It's seen it's high points and low points but is considered by the industry at large to be the ultimate single issue format for that type of magazine. Often mimicked but never bettered in terms of quality or reader loyalty it remains the definitive source for original articles and comic strips the world over. Please be aware that some of these magazines have been on display in the shop since their publication so they may be shopworn. We will endeavour to send out the best quality copy we have but we cannot guarantee zero damage especially for overseas postage. One of the longest running british comic strips outside of the Beano and Dandy to go alongside the longest running science fiction show in the world. Current postage costs mean that we can no longer accept orders of multiple copies from overseas unless customers pay an extra £2.50 postage supplement per issue due to a recent massive cost increase to overseas Airmail postage. This does not apply to UK customers although we do ask that they order the issues one at a time until the website is calibrated to charge the correct postage. |
