 Following the conclusion of Flashpoint , in September of 2011 DC Comic relaunched their entire line, starting all their comics at #1 with the start of the "New 52" initiative. Justice League, written by Geoff Johns and drawn by Jim Lee , was the first title to launch, being it was promoted as the marquee title of the initiative.The first arc of the book, set five years prior to the DCU's present, the concept of Super-Heroes is new to the world, as Batman , who has operated in Gotham City years prior to the event of the book, discovers a threat that he can not deal with alone, Darkseid . This requires him to recruit a team including Superman , Wonder Woman , Green Lantern , Cyborg , The Flash and Aquaman , in order to stop one of the greatest threats to man kind. The team's roster will eventually expand to include Deadman , Atom , Element Woman , Firestorm , Green Arrow , Hawkman , Mera , and Lady Luck . |
